Shauna Brown, President

Hello, my name is Shauna Brown and I am absolutely thrilled and honored to serve as the President of our school's PTO. As a parent, I understand how important it is to create a nurturing and engaging environment for our children, and I’m eager to contribute to that goal. Working with such an incredible team of parents and teachers who share this passion is a dream come true. I’m excited to bring fresh ideas, organize memorable events, and strengthen the bond within our school community. Seeing the positive impact on our students’ lives brings me such joy.

My husband and I have 2 kids and we’ve lived in the area nearly our entire life. As a family, we love to travel and spend time outdoors, while hanging with our dogs!

Blake Banks, Secretary

My name is Blake Banks and I am so excited to be the Volunteer Coordinator for the Sharon PTO this year. My husband and I both grew up in Georgia, and love raising our family here. We are a young Sharon family- my daughter, Birdie, is in 2nd grade this year, and our other daughter, Bennett, started Kindergarten. We have loved our short time at Sharon, and feel so lucky to be part of this community. I can already tell it is a special place! I love helping people feel connected, and have already really enjoyed helping parents find a place to volunteer at the school.

I graduated from the University of Georgia and now work at North Point Community Church in the Care Ministry. My husband, John, works in the building supply industry. Our family loves to travel to the beach and the lake, and I enjoy reading, cooking, and tennis!

My husband Steve and I have four children, two human and two canine.  Our oldest daughter Sammie spent 6 wonderful years at Sharon and is now in middle school.  Our youngest daughter Erzsi will be in 5th grade this year.  Our two pups Millie and LuLu round out our crazy, loving family!  I am a proud graduate of Georgia Tech and I work full time in operations and finance at Northside Hospital.  I love to read, play tennis, and foster kittens whenever my husband will let me.

I have served as Father Daughter Chair and Room Parent Coordinator for multiple years at Sharon.  I have also spent two years representing the parent community on Sharon's Local School Council. I look forward to serving on the board this year to support our wonderful school.

My husband Jason and I have three children: Owen is in 3rd  grade, Allison is in 2nd, and Ethan is in Kindergarten. Our family moved from Oklahoma to Forsyth county in December 2021, and we are loving the community we've found here. We enjoy camping, hiking, and exploring all the fun areas available just a short drive from home.

I have my Bachelor's degree in Education from Oklahoma State University and taught middle school Language Arts for six years until I left to stay home with our son. I am currently a freelance writer and the staff Grant Writer for Georgia Transplant Foundation. This year I served as the Cultural Night co-chair and a classroom mom. I know firsthand how hard teachers work, so I'm thrilled for the opportunity to get involved to support our teachers while impacting our kids' education.
